I hope this doesn't require a bunch of equipment and processes. I can't tell you how the compatibility is compared to any of those ways when you play with ESR but there are games that don't work with ESR too.Im not sure i follow, I thought that I could just burn the disc to whatever and use the ESR program to run the game. If you do not plan to install hdd into ps2, you can use network adapter's ethernet port to play your games from images stored in shared directory (SMB) on your pc. The absolute easiest way to get a FMCB Memory Card is either already having access to an exploited Ps2 or purchasing a pre-configured Memory Card. Once you have it softmodded you can use homebrew called OPL to run games from hdd drive. ps2 will boot from hdd straight into homebrew.
